The Mountain Pine Beetle is changing the landscape in BC's interior. The infestation is growing at a phenominal pace. It has expanded from an area of 165,000 Ha to about 4.2 million Ha in 2003 and is estimated to wipe out 80 percent of the province's mature Lodgepole pine stands in the next decade.
